What I grow in my keto garden

If you ever thought you can no longer have a garden with keto, you are wrong!  Let me show you exactly what I grow in my keto garden – you might be surprised!

One of the most common mistakes in my opinion with how keto is implemented is that many people leave out veggies “because they have carbs”.  This is not the right answer.  You can read more about keto and veggies to find out just how important they are!

There is NO reason why you can’t have a garden FULL of veggies and even a few fruits!  Let’s not forget the spices either (although I tend to neglect those a bit, but they are resilient)!

So, let’s get to it!

Garden Areas

First of all, I have 3 garden areas.

The first is a raised garden bed that my husband built off our fence so that I didn’t need to bend over to garden (he’s pretty awesome, isn’t he?)!  He even decorated the front with funky panels made from old fence boards.  Again – he’s awesome!

The second garden area is raised beds on the ground that is surrounded by a high fence so my dogs don’t get in there!

And the third is my herb “garden” that is temporarily housed on a table on my upper deck!  The hubs is building me another raised box and these will go there.

Herb Garden

Let’s quickly go through all my keto fruits and vegetables so you can get going on YOUR keto garden!

Most of these are photographed early so you won’t see much other than the beginning of a beautiful plant.  If I waited, then summer would be over!  You can see some peppers, artichokes, blueberries, etc…

Some sort of leafy green

And I say “some sort” because I don’t know what kind this is.  I did NOT plant any this season.  I did last year and I have a feeling that this is a leftover from the compost that we put down – which is HILLARIOUS!  More power to it!  I actually have a few green onions that this happened to as well.
