Keto Jalapeno Popper Meatballs
One of the things I look forward to the most about tailgate season is all the gameday snacks. It’s the perfect excuse to serve all my favorite appetizer recipes at one time.
These Keto jalapeno popper meatballs are definitely at the top of the list! The ground beef makes them nice and hearty, so they’re especially great if you need to feed a hungry crowd.
I also love how easy they are to make. Just mix the ingredients, form into meatballs, and throw them in the oven. It doesn’t get much simpler than that!
Plus, thanks to the toothpick that secures the jalapeno slice to the meatball itself, they make great finger food. I love serving these bites for gameday parties or any time I’m entertaining guests.
But you don’t have to wait until gameday to whip up this recipe. In fact, I make these little bites for myself all the time! When I’m craving the flavor of jalapeno poppers without the effort, these meatballs are the perfect solution.
Are Low Carb Jalapeno Popper Meatballs Spicy?
Because these meatballs have chopped jalapeno peppers in them, they definitely have a little kick. The pickled slices on top will add some heat as well!
Of course, the level of heat is going to depend on how hot the peppers themselves are. If you prefer milder jalapenos, look for peppers with smooth skin. For hotter peppers, select ones that show striations, or thin white lines.
If you don’t like heat at all, you can always substitute the jalapenos for a different kind of pepper. Bell peppers or banana peppers would be a good alternative, and you might even be able to find pickled slices at the grocery store as well!
Other Snacks To Serve With Popper Meatballs
Like I mentioned earlier, I love including these popper meatballs as part of my gameday spread. There are so many easy and fun recipes to enjoy together!
If you love peppers, then you have to try these Mini Pepper Nachos. They’re loaded up, ready to eat, and always a crowd-pleaser.
Looking for something a little lighter? Bacon Herbed Cream Cheese Cucumber Bites are ready in minutes and can be made ahead of time.
Another classic is this super-simple Keto Veggie Dip. Serve it with sliced veggies, low-carb crackers, pork rinds, or anything else that sounds good to you!
Can You Store Keto Jalapeno Popper Meatballs?
Absolutely! You can make a big batch at once to enjoy any time you need a snack, or make them ahead of time to serve to guests for a tailgate or get-together.
Store your jalapeno popper meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. You can either add the pickled jalapeno slices before storing them or wait to add them until you’re ready to serve.
If you want to heat them up, you can pop the meatballs back in the oven until warmed through. If you do this, I recommend adding the pickled jalapeno slices after reheating.
