Almond Butter Keto Chocolate Mousse
Sometimes, you just need a little dessert to round-out a great day of Keto eating. This low carb chocolate mousse fits the bill!
Satisfying chocolate, fluffy texture, and an oh-so-subtle almond flavor makes this dessert a winner in our book. I’ve shared my Keto Chocolate Avocado Mousse recipe before, which I LOVE for its richness and healthy fat content.
But there’s something a little more delicate about this recipe that makes it a fantastic addition to the list of Keto chocolate mousse recipes (because who says you can ever have too many?)
Now, let’s get to the real question…
Is Low Carb Chocolate Mousse Complicated To Make?
That is a big fat NO! I love this easy chocolate mousse recipe because it only takes three steps to make and is ready in five minutes flat.
Which is exactly what you need when that chocolate craving hits, right?
This dessert is so simple and SO delicious, once you give it a try, it’s sure to become a dessert staple!
What’s The Difference Between Chocolate Pudding and Chocolate Mousse?
Short answer: chocolate mousse is way easier.
Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good pudding! Check out my Pumpkin Pudding or Banana Pudding if you want to wow your taste buds with these bold flavors. But pudding does require a few more steps, plus time to set.
This Keto chocolate mousse, on the other hand, is ready in minutes! When you need a dessert NOW, mousse is the way to go.
Secondly, the texture is quite different. Pudding is going to be pretty dense, where mousse is light and airy.
While both are delicious and have their places in our home, I will definitely be turning to this easy chocolate mousse recipe when I’m short on time and just need some chocolate now!
How Long Will Chocolate Mousse Last In The Fridge?
When stored properly in an airtight container, low carb chocolate mousse will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
So even though this dessert only takes minutes to make, there’s nothing wrong with whipping up a large batch and enjoying it over a few days! Try it with some different toppings and discover your perfect bowl of Keto chocolate mousse.
How to Make Almond Butter Keto Chocolate Mousse
Ready to see how simple and easy it is to make this Keto dessert?
In a medium bowl, you’ll add the heavy whipping cream, sweetener, cocoa, almond extract, and liquid stevia.
Next, using hand beaters, beat the mixture until soft peaks form. When you turn the beaters upside down, the peaks should hold for a moment before melting back into themselves. You don’t want the mixture to be too firm.
Lastly, add the almond butter and beat for another 10-15 seconds until the mixture is smooth and your desired consistency.
AND THAT’S IT! See, how easy was that? One bowl, a little mixing, and then you’re ready for your new favorite go-to dessert!
