Keto Pretzels with Cinnamon Sugar

Whenever I went to the mall as a kid, I always had to stop at the pretzel stand. Whether it was Wetzel’s Pretzels or Auntie Anne’s, I can still smell those delicious twists anytime I even think about shopping.

Of course, the amount of carbs in a traditional pretzel doesn’t exactly fit with my low-carb way of eating nowadays. But I don’t have to feel deprived… I just make a batch of these amazing Keto pretzels with cinnamon sugar instead!

Thanks to some fathead dough and low-carb sweetener, it’s so easy to make these tasty treats right at home. And personally, I think rolling and twisting the dough into pretzel shapes is pretty fun!

Now, whenever I’m planning to do some shopping, I always make a batch of Keto pretzels first. It’s such a treat to know they’re waiting for me when I get home.

How Many Carbs In Pretzels?

The carb count is going to vary widely based on the size, ingredients, and toppings. I’ve seen shops that sell pretzels you can fit in the palm of your hand as well as restaurants that offer ones big enough to serve on a cookie sheet!

Plus, if you order one topped with sugar, that’s going to add extra carbs. For example, and Auntie Anne’s original pretzel has 65 grams of carbohydrates. Compare that to their cinnamon sugar pretzel, which has a whopping 84 grams of carbs! And each only has 2 grams of fiber.

This low-carb recipe, on the other hand, only has 4 net carbs per pretzel! That’s a pretty serious difference, and you still get all the soft, bready, cinnamon-sweetener deliciousness you’re craving.

Variations For Keto Pretzels

Want to switch up your recipe? Feel free to get creative with your pretzels!

Almond crunch is a popular topping I’ve seen offered. For this one, instead of the cinnamon and sugar, throw some almonds and low-carb brown sweetener in a food processor or blender and pulse until the almonds are in tiny pieces.

I recommend melting a little butter and brushing it over the pretzels, then sprinkling the almond and sweetener mixture on top. The butter will help the almond crumbs stick better.

Looking for a savory pretzel flavor? No problem! Just omit the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and confectioner sugar in the fathead dough.

From there, add any toppings your heart desires! Parmesan and garlic powder would be delicious. You could also brush the pretzels with melted butter, then top with pepperonis and even a sprinkling of more cheese. Don’t forget to serve with my Keto pizza sauce for dipping.

There are truly endless combinations you can make with your low carb pretzels. So go ahead and have some fun!

Can I Store Low Carb Pretzels?

You bet! Just transfer the pretzels to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to five days.

When you’re ready to enjoy, fathead dough reheats beautifully in the oven. Just stick the pretzels in at 350 degrees until warmed through.
