Tips for Making The Perfect Keto Bang Bang Sauce
The following tips will help you make the perfect keto bang bang sauce that is not only keto friendly, but also packed full of flavor:
Read the Labels
Be sure to read the labels on the ingredients that you use for this sauce. Carbs can be sneaky. You’ll often find sauces and condiments loaded with carbs even when you don’t expect it.
Add to Taste
You can adjust the taste of your sauce by adding or taking away some of the ingredients. For instance, a single tablespoon of sriracha will add a slight bit of heat, but adding more will kick the spice up a notch! Feel free to add as much as you prefer.
Use a Confectioner’s or “Powdered” Sugar Substitute
The recipe calls for a confectioner’s sugar and that’s for good reason. This powdered variety help with the texture of the salt. A granulated texture will created a grittier texture sauce and will affect the taste slightly.
Use Unseasoned Rice Vinegar
Rice vinegar is great to use to add a little bit of acid to the sauce, but be sure that the rice vinegar you use is unseasoned. Many of the flavored types of rice vinegar contains sugar.
Swap Out the Mayo for Full Fat Greek Yogurt
If you don’t like mayo, you can swap it out for full fat, unflavored greek yogurt. It doesn’t affect the taste of the sauce too much and the carbs will continue to stay low.
