Keto Mint Chocolate Chip Shake
Have you ever had a Shamrock Shake from McDonald’s? It’s a mint-flavored, bright-green milkshake that’s served during March to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
As someone who loves mint, I don’t know why it’s only sold for such a short window of time. Who doesn’t enjoy refreshing mint in the summer? That’s why you’ll find me drinking my Keto mint chocolate chip shake all year round!
This delicious shake is not quite as shockingly-green as the McDonald’s version (hello, food coloring!), but it tastes every bit as wonderful. And with a fraction of the sugar and carbs, you can can actually feel good about drinking it.
Best of all, you only need four ingredients and about five minutes to make it. That’s faster than it would take you to drive to the nearest McDonald’s!
So whether it’s March and you’re craving a Keto Shamrock Shake, or it’s the middle of summer and you’re looking for a cold, refreshing treat to beat the heat, this recipe is one you just have to try.

What Ice Cream Is Keto Friendly?
I love seeing more and more Keto-friendly brands offering ice cream. There are so many more options available than just a few years ago!
One of my favorites is Rebel Creamery. Their Mint Chip flavor is perfect for this low carb shake recipe! Plus, there’s only 4 net carbs in the entire pint.
Enlightened has a Mint Chocolate Chunk flavor as well, which also has 4 net carbs in the entire pint. You’ll want to look for the version that says “KETO” on the lid, because they also have a “light ice cream” version with 20 net carbs per pint.
While Halo Top does have a Keto line of flavors, their Mint Chip flavor is not part of that line. With 48 net carbs per pint, you probably want to steer clear of that one.

How Many Carbs In Keto Shamrock Shake
The main ingredients for this recipe are Keto-friendly ice cream, almond milk, and flavor extracts. With such low-carb ingredients, a single serving comes out to only 3 net carbs.
Compare that to a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake, where a medium shake contains 93 total carbs, 0 grams of fiber, and 72 grams of sugar! Similarly, a small mint chocolate chip milkshake from Baskin Robbins has 78 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fiber, and 68 grams of sugar.
That’s why I recommend whipping up this Keto mint chocolate chip shake right at home. It has a fraction of the carbs and the sugar, AND you don’t have to leave the house. Win-win!

Toppings For Your Keto Mint Chocolate Chip Shake
While this shake is perfectly delicious all on its own, I usually indulge with a few toppings. If you’re going to enjoy a shake, you might as well ENJOY it, right?
My go-to combination is my homemade Keto fluffy whipped cream and some low-carb chocolate chips. It’s simple, and it’s wonderful.
Can’t get enough mint? For even more flavor, you could also make a batch of my peppermint whipped cream!
