Keto Cheesecake Shooters with Blueberries
Are you ready for this one? Let me just start by saying single serve keto desserts are my new favorite thing to make! Not only are they portion controlled, but they are so easy to take to parties or hand out to the kids.
These cheesecake shooters are not only keto, but have the richest, creamiest, cheesiest flavor ever! The blueberries and lemon toppings really take the cake. Or should I say, take the cheesecake!
Are Cheesecake Shooters Keto?
Traditional cheesecake shooters are not keto. This recipe, of course, IS keto with only 3g net carbs.
What Other Toppings Can I Use for Cheesecake Shooters
I will often rotate which berries I use depending on the season. For example, I might use raspberries or strawberries for a Christmas treat. I use blueberries in the summer or for 4th of July parties. The sky is the limit for toppings and holidays!
As far as non-berry toppings, I’ve been known to put some chocolate chips on top as well as some nuts and coconut shavings.
Do you know what else tastes amazing? Keto chocolate syrup.
Can I Make Keto Cheesecake Shooters Ahead of Time
I wouldn’t recommend making them TOO far in advance. You always run the risk of the crumble soaking up some of the wetness from the cheesecake layer. But you can certainly make them the night before and store them properly in the fridge. You can wait until the last minute to put the toppings on, however.
Can I Make Cheesecake Shooters in Mason Jars?
Definitely! In fact, what I often do is make 4 instead of 8 and then use mason jars. Or I suppose you could use REALLY small mason jars.
As discussed below, mason jars make storage really convenient. Otherwise, using shot glasses makes leftovers a bit tricky. Having said that, the shot glasses are super cool and really brings a light hearted fun to this keto dessert.
How to Store Keto Cheesecake Shooters
I would recommend making as many as you are going to eat! Storing them in shot classes can make things a bit difficult. Covering the top of each one would be the best and then store them in the fridge. As long as you can cover the top, that will prolong the life of these cheesecake shooters.
I doubt you’ll have any leftovers, however. But also remember you can make them in small mason jars too and then problem solved!
