Keto Cream Puffs
Are you like me and simply LOVE cream puffs? If there is a dessert table full of treats, I will always gravitate towards the cream puffs if they have them, especially if they are KETO cream puffs!
When you take out the gluten and sugar, you are truly left with a totally guilt free, yes absolutely delicious dessert. The puffs are, well, super airy, puffy and melt in your mouth. The cream is super, duper creamy and naturally flavored and sweet.
With only 5 ingredients total, this keto cream puff recipe is going to be one that you come back to over and over again! And it will even become one that your family and friends will request!
How to Make Keto Cream Puffs
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, add the egg whites and the cream of tartar. Beat on high until the egg whites have formed very stiff and dry peaks. Set aside.
In a clean mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, egg yolks, vanilla extract and 3 tablespoons of low carb sweetener. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Gently fold the egg white mixture into the cream cheese mixture, and mix only until it is just combined.
Fill a piping bag or tool with the mixture, and pipe 20 small circles of the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for about 5 minutes, and then turn the heat down to 300 degrees, and bake for another 5-7 minutes until lightly browned on the edges.
Remove the puffs, and let them cool.
Combine the ingredients for the filling in a mixing bowl, and beat on high until stiff peaks form.
Pipe a bit of the filling on the bottom of one puff, and place another on top of the cream to form a little sandwich.
Repeat this step to create the remaining cream puffs, and serve.
Can I Flavor the Filling?
You sure can! Sometimes I will add in some vanilla extract or peppermint extract.
The peppermint gives it a whole new flavor and you will think you have a totally new dessert!
The vanilla just amps up the existing flavor of the whipping cream, which, by itself is still amazing but the vanilla is always a great counterpart to whipping cream.
Can I Make the Puffs Ahead of Time?
You definitely can. I would not make them TOO much ahead of time as sometimes they can become soggy or lose their puff depending on the moisture level when stored. Always keep cold and in the refrigerator.

How to Store Keto Cream Puffs
I would try to plan to eat most if you can! They will definitely store well in the fridge for a day or so. After that, the puffs become soggy and the whipped cream loses some of its fluff.
But, a soggy keto cream puff still tastes amazing. Just saying….
