Keto Answers Book Review
The Keto Diet is very near and dear to my heart. It has been a lifesaver (literally) for me.
I thought I led a healthy lifestyle. I was active, participated in endurance sports such as marathons and Ironman 70.3 races, I ate Paleo and always strived to be healthy in the best way I new how.
Despite all this, I was diagnosed as prediabetic. Or at least that is what they thought. I was later correctly diagnosed with Adult Onset Type 1 Diabetes.
I was left with the reality that insulin would be a part of the rest of my life and I needed to figure out how to get off the blood sugar roller coaster.
So my engineering brain took over. I needed a system that would allow me to overcome this obstacle.
Which is how I discovered the diet that overhauled my health and changed my life (in case you haven’t guessed it yet, that diet is Keto.)
And now I am on a mission to make sure there the common misconceptions of keto are debunked and that REAL information takes over.
The Keto Answers book takes the time to answer questions with science. It is the best Q&A book that I’ve found so far on the keto diet.
Here’s what you can expect from the book.
Dr. Gustin and Chris Irvin believe these to be the four pillars of health:
Each plays an essential role in health, but nutrition is at the top as it has the largest impact on overall health and wellbeing. Given you have control over what you eat, keto (done right) is a powerful tool in teaching you that nutrition can change how you experience life.
Keto is crucial right now because it will help reverse the damage of this massive failed nutrition experiment we’ve run on ourselves for the past 30 years.

In today’s world, we’re constantly inundated with content about nutrition. Too much inaccurate information not backed by science. However, this isn’t just a problem that exists today. In fact, Ancel Keys, a very successful scientist led the charge on demonizing fat as a cause for heart disease and is a huge reason why we’re here today. Obesity, heart disease, and diabetes are the most prevalent they’ve ever been. In contrast, history gets it right sometimes. After all, Hippocrates famously said, “Let food by thy medicine and let medicine be thy food.” around 400 BC. Why Keto NowPart 1: Keto 101

My Personal Opinion on Keto Answers
The above is all the formal stuff that you can find elsewhere, but here is my personal opinion on the book. As someone who run and moderates several Keto Facebook groups, hosts a Keto podcast, and runs a Keto Membership, I get questions ALL the time. ALL THE TIME. This book covers literally every common question there is about the keto diet. And it does it in a way that is honest and understandable. AND based on science, not opinion. The other nice thing is that there is an entire chapter dedicated to the ladies! YES! Keto for women! Definitely a must-read! It is a handy reference to keep by your bedside, or in your car, or wherever! Highly recommend!Trina Krug is a Holistic Nutritionist, Integrative Health Coach and host of the Carbless Conversations Podcast.
