  • Preheat your mini waffle iron.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg, then add the dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in the cheese.
  • If using, mix in the heavy cream for a softer, brownie-like texture.
  • Pour 1/3 of the batter into the waffle iron and cook for about 3 minutes, or until steam stops escaping.
  • Let it cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
  • Serve plain or with your favorite toppings.
