Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium high heat.
Sear the chicken on both sides and then remove them from the skillet and set aside.
Add the onions and peppers to the hot skillet and saute until they begin to soften.
When the onions are softened, add in the tomatoes and garlic and saute for 1 additional minute.
Stir in the paprika and broth and quickly remove the skillet from the heat.
Place the chicken back in the skillet and coat with the sauce.
Place the skillet back on the stove over medium low heat. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the skillet again and add in the heavy whipping cream and sour cream. Mix until well combined.
Simmer until the sauce thickens.
Return the chicken to the skillet one final time, toss to coat in the sauce, and serve.
