Beer Cheese Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup low carb beer
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • optional ¼ cup chopped green onions

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, add beer, mustard, cayenne, chili powder and salt and pepper. Heat over medium heat, bringing to a low boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10 about minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy whipping cream and shredded cheese, simmering until thickened.
  • Allow the cheese sauce to sit to thicken before serving
  • Optional - garnished with green onions.
