What Are Fat Bombs?

Fat bombs are a popular concept in the Keto community. They’re basically bite-sized snacks that have a high fat content to help you reach your macros, satisfy your cravings, and give you energy.

Fat bombs can be sweet or savory. I personally love sweet fat bombs that I can eat as a dessert, like these cinnamon roll bites with bacon or chocolate keto truffles. A savory fat bomb could be a mix of mashed avocado and cream cheese rolled in bacon bits.

So do you have to eat fat bombs if you’re Keto?

Of course not! They are not a requirement to be successful on Keto. Instead, they’re just a fun way to hit your macros while satisfying your cravings.

Are Churros Keto Friendly?

If we’re talking about traditional churros, then it’s gonna be a “no” from me.

The original recipe, as I mentioned, features fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar. It’s pretty much just a big sugar and carb bomb. For example, a churro from Cinnabon has about 40 grams of carbs!

So instead, I recommend opting for this fat bomb version. Each one only has 2 grams of carbs and 1 gram of fiber for a total of 1 net carb. So as long as you don’t eat 40 in a row, you’ll be way better off than eating a traditional churro!

How Do You Make The Churro Coating?

This part is important. After all, what is a churro fat bomb without a wonderfully crunchy cinnamon-spiced coating?

Actually, the answer is quite simple. In fact, all you need is granulated low-carb sweetener, cinnamon, and crushed up pork rinds.

Yep, you read that right! Pork rinds are a perfect way to add crunch to recipes. They even work as low carb “breading,” like in my Keto chicken strips and Keto fish sticks.

The granulated sweetener also adds its own texture. Mixed with the cinnamon, it creates the perfect churro-inspired coating for our cinnamon-spiced filling.

Can You Store Keto Churro Fat Bombs?

Yes you can! If you ask me, the best part about fat bombs is having them ready for a quick snack or dessert when you need it.

Simply store your Keto churro fat bombs in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to 5 days.

How To Make Keto Churro Fat Bombs

Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Add the softened butter, cream cheese, and vanilla to a mixing bowl. Beat with a hand beater until combined.

In a separate bowl, add the cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of granulated sweetener, and the melted butter. Mix well.

Gently mix the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the cream cheese mixture.
