In 2017, I was misdiagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and turned to the keto diet to lower my blood sugars and reverse my diabetes. I successfully lowered my blood sugars but the diabetes lingered.  

In 2018, I was correctly diagnosed with adult onset Type 1 Diabetes. In order to preserve as much beta cell function as I could, I continued the keto diet to maintain the highest level of health.  

Keto restored my health and allowed me to lose that last 20 pounds that just wouldn't budge.
