Chocolate Keto Truffles

Are you ready for this one? I’m not a huge fan of making fat bombs, but I AM a fan of single serve keto desserts.

These beautiful keto truffles fall into both categories – scrumptious keto fat bomb AND single serve chocolate keto dessert.

When chilled, these form beautiful bite sized chocolate balls. Well, for me, it is more than bite, but you get the idea. You may have a hard time stopping at just one. But the awesome thing is that these are fully keto and so if it fits your macros then you don’t need to stop at just one!

How to Make Chocolate Keto Truffles

Place the baking chips and peanut butter in a heat proof mixing bowl.

Peanut Butter in measuring cup

Add the heavy whipping cream, butter and sugar substitute to a saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a low boil.

Remove the mixture from the heat, and whisk in the vanilla.

Pour the heated mixture over the chocolate and peanut butter, and whisk until smooth and creamy.

Mixing Ingredients

Add the mixture to a fridge to set for several hours.  Use a small cookie scoop to portion out and roll the truffles into balls.

Truffle in a hand

Place the truffles back into the freezer to set for 1 hour before serving.

Dust with some unsweetened cocoa powder if desired.

Are Truffles Keto Friendly?

Your average, everyday truffle is most likely not keto. They are traditionally high in sugar and carbs. These decadent keto chocolate truffles are of course keto, however!

Each of these truffles is under 100 calories and only 3g net carbs. A solid keto treat!

What Can I Sprinkle on Keto Truffles?

You can sprinkle anything “spinkle-able”! I do have 3 favorite things I like to sprinkle on keto truffles. They are:

Cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder – Yes, I know these taste quite different. But they fall into the same category for a chocolate coating so there you go!

These really compliment the chocolate flavor in the chocolate truffles quite well.

Keto Powdered Sweetener – Both Swerve and Lakanto have a powdered sweetener and both are quite good. If you want these truffles to be just a touch sweeter, then give them a light dusting of powdered sweetener.

PB2 – Lastly, PB2 is something I like to have fun with and use on occasion. An easy way to get a rich peanut butter flavor in powder form.

Keto Truffle Flavors

I went simple with these truffles! The main flavors are chocolate and peanut butter. To me, there are no better flavors to combine together than chocolate and peanut butter.

They work so well together, in fact, that you don’t even need a sweetener to make it taste more like a treat.

The vanilla completes the flavor profile to make this chocolate keto truffle the most perfect single serve keto dessert to enjoy any time of the day!

How to Store Keto Truffles

As with most keto desserts, store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator!
